Welcome to Warren County High School Class of 2014! My name is Monti McMahan Hillis. I am a Warren County native and a graduate of Warren County High School. I received my Bachelors of Science degree from Tennessee Technological University and my Masters degree from Cumberland University. I love learning and will receive my Educational Specialist degree from Middle Tennessee State University in May. I grew up the youngest of 3 girls (Denise & Melody) in the Morrison community, where mother,Violet McMahan, still lives. My high school sweetheart, Jim, works for Nissan. He and I have been married for 31 years! We have two daughters, Lindsey, who is a guidance counselor at Morrison Elementary and is married to Bryan Matheny, a teacher at Warren Academy, and Wesley, a recent graduate at Motlow and attendance clerk at WCHS. We also have two beautiful granddaughters, Breelyn, who is in 1st grade at Morrison and Ella Claire, who is 4. We are very excited to now have a grandson, Hudson, 8 months and are expecting another grandchild in January. Being “Gran” to them is the BEST! I enjoy reading, traveling and teaching the cradle roll babies at Central Church of Christ. I love chocolate, Paula Deen and cooking, the South, yellow roses, snow days, the Pioneers, cheerleading and the Lady Vols! I hate snakes, being sick and mean people. This is my 26th year teaching. I still love the start of school. I love #2 pencils, new school clothes and a great lunchbox! But most of all, I love my students and the people who make our school great. We are in for some exciting changes this year---positive behavior supports are going to help makt this a great year! On behalf of the 11th grade staff, I extend our best wishes for success in all of your educational pursuits. I'm excited about what we will accomplish. Please feel free to contact me at any time, Monti Hillis
