TDOE – NAEP measures Tennessee’s academic achievement against other states also taking the test.

There are no individual, class, school, nor district results.

TDOE – The TCAP Achievement assessments are state-mandated assessments in reading, language arts, math, social studies and science.  The social studies assessment include a variety of question types as well as writing. The ELA and math assessments will include a variety of question types as well as writing.  The science assessment will be multiple choice.  These tests will be administered using paper and pencil.    

Quick scores for grading purposes are available on Skyward Parent Portal approximately two weeks after testing.  Full score reports are delivered to the schools for distribution in October.  Quick Score results are used as 10% of the final average.

TCAP End of Course (EOC):

English  I

TDOE – The TCAP End of Course exams are state-mandated exams for specific high school courses.  The US History/Geography exam will include a variety of question types as well as writing. The English, Algebra and Integrated Math EOCs will include a variety of question types as well as writing. The Chemistry and Biology exams will be multiple choice.  All operational exams will be administered online and will count as the course’s final exam.

TDOE – MSAA is TCAP’s alternative assessment for reading, language arts and math.  This assessment is available to students with disabilities whom participation in the regular state assessment is inappropriate, even with the use of extensive accommodations. Approximately one percent of the student population will participate in alternative assessments.

Scores and other information from this assessment are delivered to the schools for distribution in October.  Results are not used for grades.

WIDA ACCESS for ELs 2.0

State Window: 3/4/19 – 4/19/19

 

TDOE – The ACCESS for ELs assessment measures English language proficiency levels with respect to the WIDA English Language Proficiency standards and is used as one criterion to determine when ELs have attained the language proficiency needed to participate meaningfully in content area classrooms.  

Scores and other information from this assessment are delivered to the schools for distribution in August.  Results are not used for grades.

TDOE – The TCAP ELA/Social Studies Field Tests are state-mandated field tests and will include one subpart featuring a writing prompt.  Approximately one-half to one-third of schools and districts will be required to participate in these field tests on a rotating basis every two to three years.  This test will be administered using paper and pencil for grades 3-8 and will be online for grades 9-11..    

There are no individual, class, school, or district results.

TCAP 2nd Grade Assessment

State Window:  4/22/19 – 5/3/19

 

WCS – The TCAP 2nd Grade Assessment measures basic reading and math skills.  It is a criterion-referenced assessment designed to measure individual student achievement on state standards.  It provides a benchmark of how students perform on the foundational skills required for success in future grades. It is a paper and pencil assessment.

Scores and other information from this assessment are delivered to the schools for distribution in October.  Results are not used for grades.
