ESSER
What is ESSER?
ESSER stands for Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund.
As part of the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, Congress established and appropriated a total of $13.2 billion for the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Fund. ESSER funds are distributed to schools, Like Warren County School system, based on each school system proportionate share of Title I, Part A (Title I-A) funding from 2019. ESSER funds are intended to support COVID-19 response efforts and address the impact that COVID-19 has had, and continues to have on elementary and secondary schools across the nation.
